Garbage and Recycling

Residents pay a Utility Fee of $200/year for garbage services.  This fee is on the Water/Sewer Utility invoice.  This includes weekly curbside pickup (limit 4 bags); recycling bins; compost pile; burn bit (limited access); annual village cleanup and access to local transfer stations.

Effective July 2019 – Recycling Plastics Discontinued – bin has been removed:  FRSWMA plastics out

Effective April 2, 2017 – Rosalind Transfer Site is CLOSED

OPTIONS:

Gate fees still apply and all other usual fees.
Refrigerant removal charges – $20/unit
Mattress recycling charges – $15/each

• Daysland Transfer Station
o  Tuesdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm/Saturdays 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
• Forestburg Transfer Station
o Thursdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm/Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
• Alliance Transfer Station
o Wednesdays 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm/Saturdays 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
• Hardisty Transfer Station
o Wednesdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm/Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
• Regional Landfill (Sedgewick)
o Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm/Saturdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

RECYCLING

The Recycling program is being revised.  Changes will be happening in October 2018. The Commingled bins will be removed and replaced with 6 bins.  The Village of Rosalind bins will be relocated.  The new location of the bins is alongside the transfer site (14 Railway Avenue North). 

These bins are provided for village residents.  If the use of these bins are abused, FRSWMA will remove the bins.
