Garbage and Recycling

COMPOST BIN – Please NO garbage, cardboard, recycling, etc.  This bin is provided for village residents to use for COMPOST ONLY!  If you continue to abuse this privilege, FRSWMA will remove the bin and you will have no compost accessibility.

Daysland Transfer Station
o  Tuesdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm/Saturdays 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Forestburg Transfer Station
o Thursdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm/Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Alliance Transfer Station
o Wednesdays 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm/Saturdays 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Hardisty Transfer Station
o Wednesdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm/Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Regional Landfill (Sedgewick)
o Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm/Saturdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Gate fees still apply and all other usual fees.
Refrigerant removal charges – $20/unit
Mattress recycling charges – $15/each

Village of Rosalind will still have our annual spring clean up (date TBA) and transfer site will be open that day and free to residents.

RECYCLING

Provided to residents are the co-mingle bin, cardboard bin and Compost bin (new). 

COMMINGLED BIN– located 6W Railway Avenue
o Paper
 office, newspaper, magazines, catalogues, shredded paper
 NO PAPER TOWEL, TISSUES, PAPER CUPS, PAPER PLATES
o Rigid Plastics (#1-7) *rinsed
 Margarine containers, condiment containers, windshield washer jugs, laundry detergent jugs, etc.
 NO STYROFOAM, PLASTIC FILM, PLASTIC BAGS, BUBBLE WRAP, TOYS
o Tin and Aluminum Cans *rinsed
 Soup cans, vegetable cans, coffee cans, etc.
 NO PRESSURIZED CONTAINERS, ALUMINUM FOIL, BATTERIES, GLASS
CARDBOARD BIN – located 6W Railway Avenue
o Cardboard boxes, clean pizza boxes, cereal boxes, press board, cartons, etc.
o NO WAX-COATED CARDBOARD, CONTAMINATED CARDBOARD, STYROFOAM, PLASTIC
• Refundable Recycling – located in the Public Works Yard
o All proceeds still go into the “Centennial Account”, to be used towards for a community celebration, monument, fireworks, a special project, etc.

COMPOSTING BIN – located just outside of Rosalind transfer site
• Garden refuse, yard waste – twigs, leaves and grass clippings, organic yard waster
• NO BRANCHES, KITCHEN SCRAPS, PLASTIC BAGS

GARBAGE PICKUP
• Curb side every Wednesday morning – 4 bag limit
